What is a positioner?
The welding positioner is a welding workpiece positioner that rotates and tilts the workpiece, so that the welding seam on the workpiece is placed in a favorable welding position. It is mainly used for inversion and welding of non-long workpieces such as frames, bases, flanges and heads, and can also be used for assembly, cutting and inspection.
According to the structural form, welding positioner can be divided into three types: outrigger welding positioner, seat welding positioner and two-seat welding positioner. In manufacturing industry, welding positioner has quietly become an indispensable equipment, and it is classified as welding auxiliary device in welding field.
Working principle of welding positioner
The welding positioner mainly makes the workpiece in the best welding or assembly position through the lifting, turning and overturning movement of the workbench.
In practical application, the welding positioner can coordinate with the welding robot. In asynchronous coordinated movement, when the welding robot is welding, the welding positioner does not move, and after the welding is completed, the positioner acts according to the instruction to adjust the position of the workpiece to weld the next weld. This is repeated until all the welds on the weldment are welded. This method is very suitable for the welding of complex workpieces, because the weld seams of complex workpieces may exist on all surfaces, and the workpieces are large and complicated to shift. With the assistance of welding positioner, the labor intensity of workers can be greatly reduced and the production efficiency can be improved.
